Our Privacy Commitment to You, Auto Credit Financial & Dealer Marketing (ACDM), we are committed to providing you with financial products and services to meet your needs. Our commitment includes protecting the personal information we retain about you (referred to as "information" in this notice) when you apply for or obtain a product or service from us to be used primarily for personal, family or household or business purposes.

We want to earn your trust by using strict safeguards to protect information about you as we continue to bring you our products and services. Please read this notice to learn more about privacy and data security at ACDM. The policies and practices described in this Privacy Notice are subject to change, but we will notify you if there are significant changes.
Data Collection and Security
I. Why We Collect and Share Information
By knowing more about our customers, we as well as our business partners can provide specialized products and services that may be of interest to you and your family. We may also be able to improve upon your experience when contacting us or using one of our products. Additionally, we may collect and share information to help protect you from identity theft and fraud. For example, we may verify your identity when you open an account with us and when you make transactions.
II. We Collect Information about You from the Following Types of Sources
Applications, questionnaires and other forms you submit (information such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income).
Your transactions with us and others (information such as account balances, fees, payment history, checks, parties to transactions and account usage).
Our communications with you regarding account activity.
Credit bureaus (to determine your eligibility for credit or other financial products).
Public sources, including census data and real estate records.
List vendors and membership lists, including magazine subscription lists.
Web-based tools when you visit our Web sites, including "cookies."
Telephone calls, which we may monitor or record when we communicate with you.
III. Our Security Practices
Our Safeguards for Information Confidentiality and Security:
We maintain physical safeguards, such as secure areas in buildings; electronic safeguards, such as passwords and encryption; and procedural safeguards, such as customer authentication procedures to protect against ID theft.
Access to information about you is restricted to authorized employees obtaining that information for business purposes.
We carefully select and monitor the outside companies we hire to perform services for us, such as mail vendors who send out our statements. We require them to keep customer information safe and secure, and do not allow them to use or share the information for any purpose other than the job they are hired to do.
We train our employees on these security procedures, and we conduct regular audits to verify compliance with them.
Information Sharing
We May Disclose Information that We Collect as Described Above to the Following Entities:
Other companies in the ACDM family, as described at the end of this notice.
Financial service providers, such as securities broker-dealers or insurance companies.
Non-financial companies, such as retailers, data processors, and advertisers.
Carefully selected business partners (e.g., so they can alert you to their products and services).
Companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements (CA Residents: Other than as required or permitted by law, we will not disclose information about you to other financial service providers with which we have joint marketing agreements unless you authorize us to do so).
Other third parties, including non-profit organizations, as required or permitted by law, or when you permit us to share information about you.
Choices You May Make for Your Privacy
You may choose to limit the way we share information about you. You may also choose to limit the solicitations we send you. These choices are referred to as "opt-outs."
I. Sharing of Information Outside of the ACDM Family of Companies
If you do not want us to disclose information about you outside the ACDM family of companies, you may choose to opt out of those disclosures. In other words, you may tell us not to share this information and we will not, except in those cases where we may be required or permitted by law. For example, required disclosures may be made to law enforcement and banking regulators, while permitted disclosures may be made to vendors assisting us in opening, maintaining or servicing your account. (CA and VT Residents: To the extent state law applies, we will not disclose information about you outside the ACDM family of companies, except as required or permitted by law.)
II. Use and Sharing of Information Among Companies in the ACDM Family
Affiliate Sharing—We may share your credit information within the ACDM family of companies. Credit information includes financial information you may share with us or credit history that we may obtain from credit bureaus. If you do not want us to share your credit information with other companies in the ACDM family, you may choose to opt out. (VT Residents: To the extent state law applies, we will not disclose credit information about you within the ACDM family of companies except as required or permitted by law.) If you opt out, we will not share your credit information with other companies in the ACDM family.
Affiliate Marketing—Companies in the ACDM family may market their products and services to you based on information received from other companies in the ACDM family. This may include any information collected about you including your income, your account history, and your credit score. If you would like to limit the offers you may receive based on this shared information, you may choose to opt out. If you opt out, we will not market products or services to you based on information received from other companies in the ACDM family except as expressly permitted by law. This limitation will not apply in certain circumstances, such as if you ask to receive information from a ACDM company.
III.   Limits on Solicitations from Us
You may tell us not to solicit you at your postal mailing address, telephone number or e-mail address.  If you elect not to receive marketing offers by postal mail, telephone and/or e-mail, please note that we may continue to contact you as necessary to service your account and for other nonmarketing purposes. We may also continue to provide marketing information in your regular account mailings and statements, including online communications.
IV.   How to Opt-Out
Your opt-out choices will continue to apply until you tell us to change them, except with respect to limits on solicitations which we will honor for the time periods required by law. If you have previously opted out based on a ACDM notice and would like to keep the same preferences you do not need to opt out again.
Joint/Multiple Accounts: Your opt-out choices will apply to all of your consumer accounts within the ACDM family of companies, including joint accounts. For a joint account, an opt-out choice made by any joint account holder will apply to all account holders.
Applicants: Unless otherwise notified, applicants who do not become our customers may not make certain privacy elections.

Important Information about Credit Reporting: we may report information about your account to credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments or other defaults on your account may be reflected in your credit report.

Unless you are expressly told otherwise and provided a separate privacy notice, this notice applies to all companies within the Auto Credit Dealer Marketing family of companies.

Protect your information. Never give your Social Security number or personal credit information over the phone or the Internet unless you initiate the communication. Keep your personal identification number (PIN) and password in a safe place. Try to memorize your PIN and password and do not write them down with your account information.
Destroy and/or securely store your account records, tear or shred receipts, bank statements and unused credit card offers. Keep billing statements and other account related documents in a safe place.
Immediately report lost or stolen checks or credit cards.
Do not carry your personal identification numbers (PINs).
Promptly review all account statements and immediately report any discrepancies to your financial institution.
Retain receipts from all ATM, debit and credit card transactions. When you are ready to dispose of them, make sure your account number is not readable.
Immediately sign new credit cards.
Report unusual telephone or e-mail inquiries or other suspicious activity to your Telephone Company or local law enforcement authorities.
Never share your user name, password, or security questions with anyone, and beware of suspicious e-mails or unsolicited phone calls asking for this information.
If you get an e-mail that claims to be from us but you are not sure, or you think it is suspicious, do not click on any of the links. Just send the e-mail to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and then delete it.
Regularly review your credit report. Keeping your credit report error-free is important. Order a copy of your credit report and immediately alert the credit bureau, as well as the specific creditor, of any mistakes. See www.ftc.gov for more information on how to request one free credit report per year from each credit bureau.

If you have been a victim of identity theft, immediately notify your creditors, local law enforcement and the credit bureau agencies listed above. If you think your identity has been stolen, you may want to visit http://www.consumer.gov/idtheft, sponsored by the Federal Trade Commission.
Update your personal information as necessary by calling us using the customer service number on your account statement or visiting your local banking office.
Learn about the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Follow the tips for parents at the Federal Trade Commission's Web site for children's privacy at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/tech/tec08.shtm We respect the privacy of your children, and we comply with the COPPA. We do not knowingly collect or retain personally identifiable information from individuals under the age of thirteen online.
